Shipping & Delivery Policy
In-store pickup and same-day local delivery — how it works, when you'll get it, and what it costs.

The short version: Kar-Life Battery sells batteries directly to customers in the Phoenix metropolitan area. We offer free in-store pickup at our Phoenix and Mesa locations, and same-day local delivery via DoorDash inside our service area. We do not ship nationally.
Where We Deliver
We deliver throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, including: Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, and surrounding cities. See our full Service Areas page for the complete list. If you’re unsure whether your address is in our delivery zone, give us a call or submit a quote request and we’ll confirm.
We do not ship batteries outside the Phoenix metro area and we do not offer UPS, FedEx, or USPS shipping. Vehicle batteries are heavy, hazardous-material (HAZMAT) items that are expensive and unsafe to ship by parcel carrier. For customers outside our local delivery zone, we recommend a battery retailer near you.
Free In-Store Pickup
In-store pickup is always free. Choose pickup at checkout or simply stop in — most batteries are in stock and ready in minutes. We’ll help carry it to your vehicle and, for most cars and trucks, we can install it for you at no extra charge.

Same-Day Local Delivery
Same-day delivery is powered by our local DoorDash partnership. After your order is confirmed, a driver picks the battery up from the nearest store and brings it to your address — usually within 30 to 60 minutes of dispatch.
- Availability: daily, during store hours. Orders placed within about an hour of close may be delivered the next business day.
- Delivery fee: calculated at checkout based on distance from the nearest store. The fee is shown clearly before you pay.
- Tracking: you’ll receive a text message with a live tracking link once your driver is on the way.
- Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive the battery. Batteries are not left at the door.
- Installation is not included with delivery. Our same-day driver hands off the battery only. We’re happy to install for free if you bring your vehicle into either store.
Order Processing & Timing
- Online quote requests & pay-by-text: we respond within store hours, typically the same business day.
- Paid online orders: we begin preparing your order as soon as payment clears. Pickup orders are usually ready within 30 minutes. Same-day delivery dispatches as soon as we can hand the battery to a driver, typically within 30 minutes of payment.
- Outside store hours: we’ll respond first thing the next business day.
Damaged, Missing, or Wrong Batteries
We pack each delivery carefully, but if something goes wrong:
- Damaged or wrong battery: contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll arrange a free replacement after a quick check at one of our stores or, when appropriate, send a driver out with the correct unit.
- Missing delivery: if your tracking link shows delivered but you don’t have the battery, call us right away — we’ll work with DoorDash to locate it or send a replacement.
- Dead-on-arrival (DOA): covered under the manufacturer-defect provisions of our Return & Warranty Policy.
Core Returns & Old Battery Pickup
Most batteries include a refundable core charge. To get your core refund, bring your old battery to either store. For same-day delivery orders, you can either hand the old battery to the driver at drop-off (when feasible) or bring it in afterward. Once we receive the old battery, the core charge is refunded to your original payment method. See the Return & Warranty Policy for full details.
Returns & Refunds
All returns — including for online and same-day delivery orders — are covered by our Return & Warranty Policy. The short version: unused, uninstalled batteries may be returned to either store within 30 days for a full refund to the original payment method.
