Return & Warranty Policy
What to bring, what's covered, and how refunds work.
Last updated: April 26, 2026
The short version:bring the battery and your original printed receipt to our Phoenix or Mesa store and we’ll test it on the spot. If it’s within the warranty period and the test confirms a defect, we’ll replace it free of charge.
Warranty Coverage
Every new battery sold by Kar-Life Battery includes a free-replacement warranty against manufacturing defects:
- Standard batteries: 6-month free-replacement warranty
- Premium batteries:12-month free-replacement warranty (some models extend longer — the warranty period for your specific battery is printed on your receipt)
- Motorcycle & powersport batteries: warranty terms are printed on your receipt
If your battery fails within its warranty period, we’ll load-test it at our store. If the test confirms the battery is defective, we’ll replace it with an equivalent unit at no charge. The replacement battery carries the remainder of the original warranty period — it does not reset the clock.
What You Need to Bring
- The battery— the actual battery you purchased from us.
- Your original printed receipt— every customer receives a printed receipt at pickup or with their delivery. The receipt confirms purchase date, model, and warranty terms.
No receipt, no warranty.Without your original printed receipt we have no way to verify the purchase date or warranty terms, so we are unable to honor a warranty claim. Please keep your receipt in a safe place — we recommend taking a photo of it the day you buy your battery.
Online & Delivery Order Returns
If you ordered a battery online or via same-day DoorDash delivery and would like to return it, the following applies:
- 30-day return window for unused, uninstalled batteries in original condition.
- Returns must be brought in person to our Phoenix or Mesa store. We do not provide return shipping or pickup for online orders.
- Bring the battery and your order confirmation (printed or on your phone). We’ll match it against the original sale.
- Refunds are issued back to the original payment method used at checkout. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
- No restocking fee for batteries returned in original, uninstalled condition within 30 days.
Damaged or Dead-on-Arrival Batteries
If your delivered battery arrives visibly damaged or fails to hold a charge on first install, please contact us within 48 hoursof delivery. We’ll arrange a replacement at no charge after a quick load test at one of our stores.
Core Refund
Most battery purchases include a small core charge— a refundable deposit on the old battery. To get your core refund, bring your old battery to either store. For online and DoorDash orders, the core refund is credited back to your original payment method once we receive the old battery in store.
What Is Not Covered
The free-replacement warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage caused by accident, mishandling, or improper installation
- Damage from a faulty charging system, parasitic electrical drain, or improper jump-starting
- Batteries used outside their intended application (e.g. a starting battery used as a deep-cycle)
- Normal wear after the warranty period has expired
- Batteries returned without the original printed receipt
