We offer a spectrum of high-grade batteries at prices that suit your budget without compromising on performance. Our commitment extends to delivering superior customer service and warranty on our products, ensuring you get the best deal for your investment.
What store has the best battery prices?
When it comes to combining value with affordability, Kar-Life Battery stands as a top player. Our vast assortment of battery products comes at competitive prices that not only meet but surpass market standards. Whether you're in need of car, truck, marine, golf cart, or RV batteries, we ensure you get your money's worth or we'll replace it.
Where can I get the most affordable car battery?
To source the most affordable car batteries without losing out on performance, Kar-Life Battery should be your first pick. We strike the right balance between cost-effectiveness and quality, offering top-of-the-line products that don't break the bank.
Can you replace a car battery yourself?
On most vehicles, yes — it's a fairly simple job with two wrenches and about 15 minutes. If you'd rather have us do it, visit our Phoenix or Mesa store and we can usually install a battery on most standard passenger vehicles at no additional charge. We can't install on every vehicle, though: some models have the battery in a hard-to-reach spot or require ECM/computer registration after replacement, and those will need a certified mechanic or dealership. If you're not comfortable installing the battery yourself and your vehicle isn't one we can help with, plan on taking it to a shop. Give us a call before you come in and we'll let you know what your vehicle needs.
Can I throw away my old battery?
Disposing of used batteries in the trash is generally advised against for environmental reasons. At Kar-Life Battery, we function with a proactive approach to recycling batteries. Bring your old batteries to us and not only will you receive cash in return, but the assurance of knowing each one is responsibly and safely recycled, in compliance with ecological standards.
Where can I recycle my used battery?
Turn to Kar-Life Battery for a top-tier battery recycling program. All you need to do is drop off your spent batteries at any of our outlets. We take care of the rest, disposing of them in a way that aligns with eco-friendly practices, while contributing to maintaining a sustainable environment.
Do you offer a warranty on batteries?
Yes — every new battery sold by Kar-Life Battery includes a warranty. Standard batteries carry a 6-month free-replacement warranty, and many premium batteries come with 12 months or longer. Just bring your receipt and the battery to either our Phoenix or Mesa store and we'll test it on the spot. If it fails within the warranty period, we'll swap it out at no charge.
What's the best battery for Arizona heat?
Extreme Phoenix heat is the #1 thing that kills batteries — even premium batteries often only last 3–5 years in Arizona. For daily-driver cars we recommend an AGM or premium flooded battery with higher reserve capacity (RC) and cold-cranking amps (CCA). Stop by either store and we'll test your vehicle's charging system and recommend the best battery for your car, driving habits, and budget.
Can I pay with a credit card, debit card, or cash?
Yes — we accept cash, all major credit cards, and debit cards at both stores. Online orders are processed securely through Stripe and support cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, Cash App Pay, Amazon Pay, and ACH bank transfer. Want to use one of those methods in person? Ask us to send you a payment link by text or email — see the Payment & Financing section below for details. We do not currently accept personal checks.

Payment & Financing

Cards, digital wallets, Buy Now Pay Later, ACH, and our in-store pay-by-text flow.

Which payment methods do you accept online?
At online checkout we accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link by Stripe, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay (Clearpay), Cash App Pay, Amazon Pay, and ACH bank transfer from a US bank account. Every payment is processed securely through Stripe — Kar-Life never sees or stores your card or bank details.
Do you offer Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)?
Yes. At online checkout you can split your purchase into payments using Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay. Klarna and Afterpay 'Pay in 4' plans are interest-free over 6 weeks; Affirm offers longer-term monthly financing for bigger purchases like full golf-cart battery packs and fleet orders. Each provider shows you the exact terms before you confirm.
Can I use Apple Pay or Klarna at your store?
Yes — just ask the team at the counter to send you a secure payment link by text or email. Tap the link, choose how you'd like to pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, Cash App Pay, Amazon Pay, card, or bank), and you're done. The link expires after a short window for security.
Will Buy Now, Pay Later affect my credit?
It depends on the provider and the plan. Klarna and Afterpay 'Pay in 4' typically use a soft credit check that doesn't affect your score. Longer-term Affirm or Klarna financing may run a soft or hard check depending on the amount. The provider always shows you the credit-check details, interest, and any fees before you confirm — see our Payment Options page for more.
Can my shop or fleet pay by ACH bank transfer?
Yes. ACH Direct Debit is available at online checkout and is a great fit for repeat shop or fleet customers buying multiple batteries. For invoiced or recurring fleet relationships, give us a call at (855) 303-BATT and we'll get you set up.
Are online payments secure?
Yes. All online and in-store pay-by-link payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. Kar-Life never sees, stores, or has access to your card number, bank account, or BNPL credentials.

Same-Day Delivery

How DoorDash delivery works across the Phoenix metro area.

How fast is same-day battery delivery?
Most deliveries are completed in under an hour from the time you place your order. Delivery time depends on distance from our Phoenix or Mesa store — cities right next to us (like Tempe, Scottsdale, or Chandler) typically see 30–60 minute delivery, while outlying areas (Peoria, Surprise) may take 60–90 minutes. Delivery is powered by DoorDash.
Which cities do you deliver to?
We deliver across the entire Phoenix metro area: Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, Queen Creek, Maricopa, Apache Junction, Sun City, Fountain Hills, Casa Grande, and Cave Creek. Visit our service-areas pages for city-specific delivery times.
What's the delivery fee?
Delivery fees are calculated live at checkout based on your exact address and the DoorDash quote at that moment. Fees typically range from $8–$25 depending on distance. You'll see the exact delivery fee (and estimated arrival time) before you pay — no surprises.
Do deliveries include installation?
No — DoorDash deliveries are drop-off only. If you need installation help, visit either our Phoenix or Mesa store and we can install a battery on most standard passenger vehicles at no extra charge. Some vehicles have batteries in hard-to-reach spots (behind a wheel well, under a seat) or require ECM registration after replacement, and we may not be able to help with those — if you're not comfortable installing it yourself, plan on taking it to a shop or dealership. Call us before you buy and we'll let you know if your vehicle is one we can help with.
Can I return my old battery for a core refund if it's delivered?
Yes. After the delivery driver drops off your new battery, you can drop off your old battery at either of our store locations for the core refund. The refund amount is credited back to your original payment method once we receive it.

Installation Help

In-store installation is available on most standard vehicles — but not all. Here's what to expect.

Is installation really free?
On most standard passenger vehicles, yes — when you buy a battery from us in-store we'll remove the old battery, clean the terminals, install the new one, and confirm your vehicle starts normally at no additional charge. Installation isn't guaranteed on every vehicle, though: some models require specialty tools, ECM/computer registration, or have the battery in a hard-to-reach spot we're not set up to access. If you're unsure whether we can install on your vehicle, call us before you come in so we can check.
Which vehicles might you not be able to install?
Some vehicles have batteries tucked under the back seat, behind a wheel well, or in the trunk; some (mostly newer European and luxury models) also require a dealership-level ECM registration procedure after a battery is replaced. On those vehicles we'll happily sell you the battery and recommend a local mechanic or dealership who can install it — but be prepared that if you're not comfortable installing it yourself, you may need to take it into a shop. When in doubt, call us first.
What should I expect if I order a battery for delivery?
DoorDash deliveries are drop-off only — the driver brings your new battery and takes nothing back. If you're confident swapping it yourself (most cars are straightforward with two wrenches and 15 minutes), delivery is the fastest option. If you're not sure how to install it, we recommend either visiting one of our stores so we can do it for you or arranging to take it to a trusted mechanic.
Do you test my battery for free?
Yes. Bring your vehicle to either store and we'll test your battery and charging system for free. If your battery is still good, we'll tell you — we don't push replacements you don't need.

Battery Recycling

Cash for your old lead-acid batteries.

How much do you pay for scrap batteries?
We pay cash for used car, truck, marine, RV, motorcycle, and golf-cart batteries. The exact amount depends on current lead market prices and the battery type — call us at (855) 303-BATT for today's quote, or just drop them off at either store and we'll pay you on the spot.
What types of batteries do you recycle?
We recycle virtually all lead-acid batteries: automotive (car, truck, SUV), marine, RV/deep-cycle, motorcycle, ATV, golf cart, lawn-mower, and industrial. We do NOT accept lithium batteries of any kind — including LiFePO4, lithium-ion (laptop/phone/power-tool), and EV traction batteries. Your local hazardous-waste facility handles those. Doing a lithium golf-cart conversion? We're glad to take the old lead-acid pack you're removing and pay you cash for it.
Can I just throw away my old battery?
Please don't — lead-acid batteries contain heavy metals and sulfuric acid that are hazardous to landfills and water supplies. Bring them to us instead: it's free, you get cash, and every battery is recycled through our EPA-compliant partners.
Do you recycle batteries for businesses and fleets?
Yes — we welcome bulk drop-offs from auto shops, dealerships, fleets, golf courses, and other businesses at either of our stores. If it's a large quantity that would be tough to bring in yourself, call us at (855) 303-BATT and we'll see whether we can arrange a pickup from your location. We can't promise pickup on every address — it depends on distance, volume, and current scrap lead prices — but we're happy to talk through the options.
